Amar Talwar
Amar Talwar is an artist and Bollywood actor. He appeared in the historical television series ''Shaanti'', in which he played Raj 'G.J.' Singh.
Born to a Sikh family, Talwar was educated at the Lawrence School, Sanawar, along with his brother Rana Talwar.〔Geetika Sasan Bhandari, (Sanawarians, they never gave in! ) dated October 6, 2001, at indiatimes.com, accessed 13 March 2012〕
Before becoming an actor Talwar worked as a photojournalist. He is originally from Chandigarh but moved to Delhi for work. He joined UNICEF as photo journalist for the Girl Child Division of the Ford Foundation. Along with being a photo journalist he started stage acting and also worked with some other channels. He became famous in Shaanti as Raj G.J. Singh. His famous role was with his friend Amitabh Bachchan in the movie ''Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham''. In this movie, he portrayed Rani Mukharjee's father. He also appeared in the following movies:
